This bowl is made by Roger from Spalted Sycamore, a very unusual type of wood. Often we see Spalted Beech but very occasionally, Spalted Sycamore. The ‘spalting’ is created by a micro-organism that attacks the wood once the tree has died and creates a series of black lines and interesting grain patterns. The bowl has been treated with a food safe finish and so is suitable to contain all types of foods.
The bowl measures: 5 1/2” wide and 2 1/4” high.
