Roger has crafted this Spalted Beech Pomander Pot from a type of beech. The ‘spalting’ is caused by a micro-organism that attacks the wood once the tree has died and it causes this amazing grain pattern, the black lines particularly as caused by the micro-organism. This piece has lovely markings on it. The pewter top comes off to reveal a hollow where your lavender, rose petals or pot-pourri would go nicely.
The pot-pourri pot measures 6” wide x 2 1/2” high.
